Requesting a feature
Good ideas are always welcome. Here's how to share one in a way that's most likely to land.
First, a quick check
- I've confirmed KashCal doesn't already do this (browse the features).
- I've checked Known limitations in case it's a deliberate choice.
- I've searched existing issues for the same idea. If it exists, add a 👍 or a comment rather than opening a duplicate.
What makes a good request
- The problem, not just the solution. Describe what you're trying to accomplish and why. That often leads to a better answer than a specific implementation idea.
- A concrete example. "When I do X, I'd like Y to happen" is much easier to act on than a general wish.
- How often it affects you, and whether there's a workaround today.
Where to suggest it
Open an issue on the KashCal GitHub issue tracker and label it as a feature request (or describe it as one).
A note on scope
KashCal aims to be a focused, fast, private calendar, not to do everything. Some ideas may be declined to keep the app coherent and maintainable, even if they're good. That's not a rejection of you; it's how the project stays healthy. Thanks for understanding, and for caring enough to suggest improvements.
