Home-screen widgets

The best calendar is the one you don't have to open. KashCal has five home-screen widgets that keep your day in view. Add them the usual Android way: long-press your home screen, choose Widgets, and find KashCal.

WidgetWhat it shows
Today's AgendaToday's events in a list, with past events dimmed and upcoming ones highlighted. Includes an "add event" button and a friendly empty state when your day is clear.
Week ViewThe next seven days at a glance.
Month ViewA full month grid with colored dots marking days that have events. Page through months with the ‹ › arrows, tap the title to jump back to the current month, and tap + to add an event, all without opening the app.
DateToday's date, styled like an app icon, for a clear at-a-glance day marker.
UpcomingThe next ten days of events, skipping empty days so you only see what's actually scheduled.

Tap any event on a widget to open it in KashCal, and use the + button on the agenda, month, and upcoming widgets to add one.

Keeping widgets current

Widgets refresh when you add, change, or delete events, after a sync, and at the start of each new day, so they stay accurate without you doing anything.

Matching your colors

The widgets wear the same accent color as the app. Leave it on Automatic and they follow your Material You wallpaper colors on Android 12 and newer; pick one of the 92 accent colors and every widget recolors to match, add button and all. Set it under Settings, then Appearance.

How many events show

For the agenda-style widgets you can set a Widget Event Limit in Settings to control how many events appear per day.
